Ever feel the need to ignite your fire? Even if that means more passion in your life, more romance, more just every day feel for things, one of the best things you can do for yourself now is to flame the fire in your belly. As within, so all around.
Spring is the season to reignite your digestive fire. To light it up so you can light up the world, and fall in love with life all over again.
Here are three simple practices I am doing and recommending now.
1) Good Bugs
Have you been loading up on probiotics? Eat healthy foods, light and digestible, and boost your digestive fire with good bugs. Kombucha, ferments, yogurt, etc. Plus a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in water or apple juice after meals.
2) Celery Juice
A friend just completed a 30 day period of drinking home juiced celery daily – her doctor told her it was to “reduce the viral load” – and she says she feels better than she has in years. So I started three days ago. Try to have one glass every morning, and another in the evening. It needs to be fresh juiced, and is also good with apple, carrot, beet, and/or lemon. If you don’t have a juicer, you can make it into a smoothie and strain.
3) A Happy Liver Delivers
It gives you clean, free-flowing internal life rivers, rich life-giving blood through your veins, which in turn gives you energy, strength, and clear skin, healthy hair radiance. There are really so many reasons to love your liver. So, oil up: Try this Castor Oil Cleanse I just posted on my food blog. It is a quick and powerful way to boost your liver and enhance digestive powers. My Ayurvedic mentor believes we should all do it monthly. Bonus: the more you do it, the easier it becomes.
Summary: Ignite Your Fire with daily probiotics, twice daily celery juice, a monthly castor oil flush.
