I am staying right now at the most serene place nestled high into the mountains in an area the locals call “the baby himalayas,” where the sun is shining, the air is clear, and all you can hear is the sound of the river below, a jungle full of bird song, including the “meow” call of a peacock, the gentle whoosh of an occasional breeze that likes to warmly caress your neck as it passes, and the evening whir of crickets.
I am here with a group being pampered by excellent Ayurveda treatments and meals before we head to the International Yoga Festival, the orphanage at Ramana’s Gardens, and then to Dr Vandana Shiva’s Navdanya Seed Farm. I’ll post photos to Facebook and Instagram and videos here for another three weeks to share with you the beauty, majesty and serenity of this place many call “the home of Yoga.”
Wishing you peace.
