Sunday, August 4, 10pm-1pm
Registration

This will be a joyful class devoted to foods that cool. Whether it is the heat of summer, or a naturally hot constitution, we can all benefit from the addition of pitta-reducing meals to our diet. In this class, we will discuss raw versus cooked, acid v. alkaline, protein, fiber and minerals, the power of sweet to soothe pitta and sassiest spices for summer.  We will also make a variety of easy to prepare, easy to digest, high energy and delicious, elegant dishes you can effortlessly make at home.

It will be a small class of 8-10 people taking the “grand tour”of  the Ayurvedic kitchen, and will include Q&A, creative interaction, hands-on participation, and a sumptuous lunch in our garden. We will cover the basic formula for delicious, healthy summer meals and share some of the tips that make cooking quick and easy ~  so that you walk away feeling comfortable in your kitchen, satisfied in your belly, and inspired by new delicious sensations, and excited to try more on your own.

Summer Cooking Class

“A big thanks to you, Laura. You are the most amazing teacher and have amassed such valuable information that we are so lucky to have passed on to us. You keep reminding me how important it is to listen to my body.  I loved all of the summer foods we had yesterday and plan to make some of them this week and next. They were delicious, nutritious and beautiful.” ~ Linda

Here is a blog I wrote about a class we had last summer (photo above) to give you an idea of what to expect at these classes.

Hope to see you Sunday.
